Gujarat government is a
festival-friendly government. It celebrates carnival at Kankaria lake in
Ahmedabad. Carnival is an English word. Carnival is a Christian tradition.
Modi’s ‘Hindutva’ is not polluted by the word carnival. Sangh parivar and VHP
rush to Dang, the moment they find a small cross on the wall of any poor tribal
in Dangs and terrorize masses with the help of local administration. They do
not object carnival in Ahmedabad where primary school children are engaged
in painting work for the cannibalistic celebration of carnival. Special resolutions
are passed for this purpose. Children are not paid for their labour. It is
sheer wastage of their time and it affects their education. But, nobody
bothers, because these children belong to Dalit, Muslim and OBC communities. Do
they need education? If they are educated, from where shall we get cheap labour
for vibrant Gujarat?
